Man…keep blogging this. I’m hoping the Mac uploader (and maybe you know of someone other than Frasier Spears – who did the iPhoto plugin…he’s busy…who can help us out?) will be done sooner than later.

Actually our uploader does do a lot of pre-processing of the photos we do face detection on the client (finding where the face is in the photograph) and face recognition (who the face belongs to) on the server. Face detection takes as much as 10 – 20 seconds a photo and is highly optimized C code which we have to still port to the mac.

Net, net it is coming. I actually use a mac as my main machine so you can bet I’m pushing for it.
